The gases on earth are found in our atmosphere. Most of it is nitrogen (78%) followed by oxygen (21%), argon(0.9%), carbon dioxide(0.03%), neon(0.02%),helium(0.005%),methane(.002%),krypton(0.001%), nitrogen dioxide(0.0005%),ozone(.0004%) and xenon(0.00007%). There are also smaller quantities of sulphur dioxide, CFC’s and other polluting gases. Levels of these gases and other gases will be larger in localised areas such as cities, volcanos and industrial sites.
