Tips on Use

Arrow SW1) If you have a question you want answering, first check our Most Popular Questions and Recently Viewed Question, so see if somebody else has already asked it and a scientist has answered it.

ArrowNE2) Another good way to find an answer is to search the hundreds of questions we already have answered. When you search use the minimum number of words. For example, if you want to know why the sky is blue (many people do!) just enter ‘sky blue’ in the search box. If that doesn’t work, try fewer words, such as ‘blue’, or similar words, such as ‘heaven’.

3) If you can’t find your question, click on the link Add your questions here in the right-hand column. But remember it may take a while for your question to be answered. You could always search elsewhere on the Internet. Google and Wikipedia are good places to start.
