  1. Cars, like most things that we have are made from loads of different parts. Each part has to be individually designed by an engineer and then manufactured out of its raw material, like metal for the body or plastic for the dashboard. All these parts, of which your car has thousands, as assembled together to make large ones called sub assemblies.

    These sub assemblies, like an engine for example, are then assembled like a very well made jigsaw on a production line. At the end of the line a car is made and is ready to be driven off.
