  1. Bang !..the window is open, the wind in the room has slammed the door…how did that happened?

    Wind is created when some high pressure air escape to a lower pressure region.
    Picture a balloon you have just inflated: you have just increased the internal pressure of the air inside the balloon by forcing it to enter the balloon enveloppe. As you release the opening of the balloon, the high pressure escapes to the outside, this creates a “wind”.

    In the atmosphere, wind is dictated by “atmospheric pressure” measured in pascals, or bars. The principle is the same as for the balloon: the air from high pressure systems will travel towards the lower pressure systems. The higher the pressure difference, the greater the wind.
