What’s in the middle of a galaxy?

What’s in the middle of a galaxy?

  1. It now seems pretty certain that many – if not most – galaxies, spiral galaxies at least, have a black hole at their centre. The Milky Way has a huge black hole at its centre which has been detected and observed by astronomers using radio telescopes. They have actually been able to follow material – including stars – circling the black hole there, like suds going around a sink plughole!

  2. Yeah i think stuart is correct. but there is no 100% evidence of a supermassiv black hole yet right?
