Will it ever be possible to get nuclear fusion working as a viable source of energy?

  1. Nuclear fusion is possible because the Sun is doing it. So if we use solar power we are using nuclear fusion power indirectly.

Viable terrestrial fusion power is very likely to be achieved within the next 50 years, so long as society remains stable enough to fund the resources required to develop it.

  2. If you visit the JET fusion experiment at Culham you will be told that we know how to do it now. It’s up to the engineers now!
