Does the expansion of the universe mean travel to other galaxies is impossible?

If the theory that space is constantly expanding at a speed in excess of light speed (relative to us) then would this mean that humans travelling to distant galaxies would be impossible as these galaxies are moving away from us faster than we could possibly travel to get to them?
