  2. No, fortunately not.

    Computer viruses are computer programs which can copy themselves and infect other computers without the owners knowledge or permission. They are not the same as viruses which infect humans which are actually replicating organisms.

    The reason that computer viruses are called ‘viruses’ is because they act in a similar way to infectious medical viruses. Both copy themselves and then infect other organisms/computers.

    For a human to be infected they would have to be attached to a computer and would have to be run by computer programs themselves. At that point they are not humans, but robots, which certainly could be infected by computer viruses.
