  1. Consciousness ,to me, is that thing which recognises that :-
    “I think, therefore I am” (with due deference to Descartes)”
    It is what I think of as “me”.
    The individual consciousness, which seems to be me, holds within it a belief that:-
    ” God is an unnecessary hypothesis” .
    This would seem to put my particular consciousness in an awkward position if indeed it were God. I suspect therefore that God is not consciousnes and nor is consciousness God.
