Is there such thing as the ‘super-natural’?

Is there such thing as the ‘super-natural’? If there is, do we all have it or is it restricted to the lucky few?

  1. We would need a more specific question to give a more specific answer, but you appear to be asking about people with a supernatural gift such as the ability to see the future or converse with the dead.

In short no, nobody has ever been able to demonstrate any ability in scientifically controlled tests that would listed as super-natural or paranormal.

People who claim to be able to do this are generally hoaxers who are hoping to con people out of money, but there are some that probably actually believe that they have super natural abilities. Those that do believe it are simply misleading themselves and thinking that their guesses are better than other people’s because they tend to remember their correct guesses better than their incorrect guesses.

If you want to see people who claim to have paranormal abilities exposed then look up James Randi, Derren Brown and Richard Dawkins. These places will also explain how people who pretend to have these abilities actually do perform their tricks.

James Randi has for some time offered a prize of 1 million dollars to anyone who can prove their paranormal abilities in scientifically controlled tests. Nobody has claimed that prize yet.
