Why can’t we shoot nuclear waste into the Sun?

On the question of NUCLEAR WASTE DISPOSAL, why can’t we ‘shoot’ it into the Sun?

  1. Your fanastic question is right out of the realms of science fiction. The down-to-earth answer is it would be totally impractical and enormously expensive, and just how far do you think you would get to the sun before you started burning up.

  2. I think the only reason we wouldn’t is because of the risk of catastrophe if the rocket blew up anywhere in our atmosphere…
